ERW.

Esther-Rennae Walker is a writer/creative producer/facilitator from London. She doesn’t like speaking about herself in 3rd person because it's strange. Yet she conforms because that’s what artists do.

​

During her training at Loughborough University for a BA Hons degree in Drama with English, she began her filmmaking journey; inspired to create stories where she could see herself and her community honestly and imaginatively represented. Her first short film, Double-Edged was selected for Newham Rising film festival (2019) Her most recent micro-short, 56 Black Men (2020) was selected for Wha’Gwan film festival (2021) which earned her a feature in the Evening Standard.

In 2021 Esther-Rennae founded Cities On Hills, an emerging production company dedicated to creating stories that saves lives. 

​

As a producer, Esther-Rennae has produced for the Half Moon's Narratives of Empathy & Resilience programme (2021);  LU Arts, Chronicles of Black Joy; Asylum Art's SURFACING (R&D) and is currently an in-house producer at tiata fahodzi.
